Helloooo internet world! It’s been quite difficult to post lately since I 1) was traveling in Bali, 2) started a new job and 3) needed to find a way to film sequences for you all! This post has been a long time coming… I originally filmed it back in April and re-filmed it today to (hopefully) improve the quality. The audio is not great since the wind started to intervene, but if you have any questions about it you can always drop me a line.
So what are we even talking about today, anyway?! The fourth chakra, Anahata, is all about the heart and how we relate to the world. This often shows up in our relationships. A blockage of this chakra could make it difficult for you to form healthy, lasting relationships with friends, family, and lovers. Are you holding on to something that isn’t serving you right now? Do you feel vulnerable even just reading this passage I’ve written? Fear not. No one knows what is inside your heart except for you! You alone can choose your journey here, and I hope this sequence helps you to open your heart to new possibilities.
Anahata Chakra Full Length Class
All that being said, this class I’ve filmed for you is just over an hour long and is suitable for all levels! All you need is a yoga mat and yourself! Two blocks and a strap can help you access certain poses that may be more difficult, but are by no means required. Feel free to MacGyver the shit out of it and use a stack of books for blocks and pantyhose or similar for a strap. I sometimes like to pad up my knee with a blanket, so feel free to do the same if yours is janky AF.
Final Thoughts
Lots of people tend to get very emotional during heart-opening classes such as the one you just completed. If this happened to you, it is OKAY! This is your yoga journey and your life journey, so adjust accordingly! Ease yourself into the practice if you are newer to yoga. Drop me a line if you have any specific doubts or concerns. Start here instead if this video looks a little too daunting right now. If you got stuck on crow pose, feel free to work on that here. Happy flowing!
XO,
Amanda
